Descubriendo TOTO Barcelona / Discovering TOTO Barcelona

Llevo ya algo  más de un mes en Barcelona y estoy feliz de vivir en esta ciudad. Además de su belleza arquitectónica y natural, su diversidad y vanguardismo, su multiculturalidad y oportunidades, Barcelona siempre me ha gustado por su gran oferta gastronómica. Cientos de rincones aguardan a ser descubiertos en la ciudad condal y yo estoy dispuesta a ir conociéndolos uno a uno.

It's been almost a month since I arrived in Barcelona and I am happy to live in this city. In addition to its architectural and natural beauty, diversity and modernism, multiculturalism and its opportunities, I always liked Barcelona for its great cuisine. Hundreds of charming places waiting to be discovered in this city and I'm ready to go knowing them one by one. 

La semana pasada de la mano de mi amigo Javier tuve la oportunidad de descubrir el restaurante TOTO. Bromas aparte con el nombre (en Instagram hubieron muchas risas al respecto). TOTO es un restaurante que me cautivó nada más entrar. A escasos metro de Rambla Cataluña encontraréis este restaurante lleno de encanto. 

Last week my friend Javier gave me the opportunity to discover TOTO restaurant that captivated me just upon entering. Only a few meters from Rambla Catalunya you will find this charming restaurant that you will remember as one of your favorites in Barcelona.

Entrar a un restaurante y que cada mesa tenga flores frescas (entre ellas hortensias rosas que me vuelven locas) marca la diferencia y ya te hace intuir el mimo con el que todo es tratado en el restaurant.  En TOTO el servicio es de primera, los camareros simpáticos, educados y atentos. 

Going in a restaurant and finding that every table has fresh flowers (including pink hydrangeas that drive me crazy) makes the difference and makes you sense the care with which everything is treated in the restaurant. In TOTO service is top notch, the friendly, polite and attentive waiters. 

En cuanto a decoración, es una delicia comer en TOTO rodeado de una decoración tan cuidada que combina tradición y modernidad haciéndote sentir casi como en casa. Diseñado por el interiorista Lázaro Rosa-Violán con, con su cocina abierta y un ambiente romántico, TOTO podría ser el sitio ideal para ir a comer con amigas, con la pareja, con la familia... probar una de sus tartas caseras, pedir un cóctel, TOTO se me antoja como un lugar perfecto para impresionar a tus amigos. Conmigo lo consiguieron.

Decor wise, it is a pleasure eating at TOTO surrounded by so carefully decorated combining tradition and modernity making you feel almost like home. Designed by the interiorist Lázaro Rosa-Vioán with it´s open kitchen and a romantic atmosphere, TOTO could be the perfect place to go to eat with your girlf friends, with family, with friends ... try one of their homemade cakes, order a cocktail, TOTO is a perfect place if you want to impress. I can tell you that I felt impressed. 

La apuesta gastronómica de TOTO de inspiración italiana parte de la premisa de contar con materia prima de primera calidad. Recuerdo haberle dicho a mi amigo Javi que la salsa de tomate ¡realmente sabía a tomate! Todo estaba riquísimo, comenzando por la tabla de panes (los dueños del restaurante también lo son de las conocidas panaderías Crustó), los primeros, los segundos y, cómo no, ¡el postre!

Having top quality raw material is the key of TOTO's italian inspiration cuisine. I remember telling my friend Javi that tomato sauce actually tastes like tomatoes! Everything was delicious, starting with the bread table (the restaurant owners are also in charge of the known bakeries Crustó) , the first course, second course, and the delicious dessert!

Si estáis por Barcelona os recomiendo hacer una  parada en TOTO, no os defraudará.

If your are in Barcelona, I definitely recommend you going to TOTO, it won't  disappoint you.
